Day 1 Fly from London Heathrow to St Petersburg for two nights with Transaero  
Day 2   Visit the ancient town of Novgorod with its fantastic array of medieval buildings and later explore the main sites of beautiful St Petersburg itself
Day 3   fly to Moscow for two nights  
Day 4   Visit to the main sites of central Moscow and in particular the mighty Kremlin  
Day 5   Fly east to Novosibirsk where we will explore this pleasant and well laid out city and excellent regional museum  
Day 6   Today we take a night train to Barnaul and transfer to Biysk on the edge of the Altai Mountain region and our base for the eclipse  
Day 7   On eclipse day itself we will head to our site with plenty of time to set up and view from our specially chosen spot with our expert  
Day 8   Return to Novosibirsk for a further night  
Day 9   Return to Moscow for a final night  
Day 10   Fly Moscow to London
